All company registrations must be approved through the SEC. Any changes to company structure, primary purpose, valuation, business address, and change of officers must be filed and submitted. Yearly a General Information Sheet GIS must be filed with the SEC for their records.
Companies that will import, distribute, produce, or sell any food or drug products must register with the FDA. Registration should be completed even before the product is marketed to be compliant with the law. Products are classified into cosmetics, food, food supplements, drugs, and medical devices. Each product has a different stringency and length of approval process.
DOLE is responsible for enforcing the Labor Code of the Philippines. All investigations to illegal practices are launched from this office. For companies with foreign employees, DOLE is the office from which they will secure the Alien Employment Permit AEP, which is a pre-requisite for the 9g Employment Visa application from Immigration.
BID is under the Department of Justice and is responsible for all visa issuance and immigration matters within the Philippines. The IPO is responsible for the issuance of all patents and trademarks in the Philippines. Companies needing to protect their IP must file the necessary applications with this office.
From the conception to the closure of every business entity in the Philippines; regular monthly, quarterly, and annual filings are a strict requirement with the BIR. The BIR is the government agency tasked with the collection of all taxes due.
The BOI was created under the omnibus investment code to evaluate and promote key investment areas in the Philippines; issuing yearly an Investment Priority Plan. Companies that comply with the requirements are eligible for tax incentives which can include a 4-6 year Income Tax Holiday
PEZA has jurisdiction over certain economic zones created by the Philippine government to promote investment. Companies that locate within these zones throughout the country are able to apply for a host of tax and non-fiscal benefits.
The DTI is the umbrella organization for such offices as the IPO and the BOI in the Philippines. Business involved in the Import and Export of goods must secure the necessary license from the DTI. Depending on what goods will be imported/exported in the Philippines; additional permits may be required from the Bureau of Products Standards which operates under the DTI.
Businesses that will be importing or exporting goods will also be required to receive clearance from the BOC. It is the BOC's mandate to make sure the proper duties and excises are paid on all goods and to prevent illegal smuggling of goods to enter the Philippines. Only licensed customs brokers may transact directly with the BOC.

The NTC is responsible to award license to the various telecom companies in the Philippines, as well as regulate their methods. Any telecommunications product or service that wants to be sold in the Philippines must be registered with the NTC.
