The Special Investor Resident Visa (SIRV) entitles the holder to reside indefinitely in the Philippines. Permitting multiple entry privileges, so long as his investments subsists in the Philippines. The SIRV is issued by the Bureau of Immigration upon endorsement of the Board of Investments.
The SIRV program requires investors to remit at least US$75,000 into the Philippines and invest the capital in various economic activities. The SIRV holder can also bring with him, without additional deposit, his spouse and any unmarried children below 21 years old. If dependents are joining the applicant, originals or certified copies (duly authenticated) of their Marriage and/or Birth Certificates or Household Register shall be presented.
Allowable Forms Of Investment For Securing the SIRV. Investor must install capital to:
(1) Publicly-listed corporations;
(2) Companies engaged in areas listed in the Investment Priorities Plan (IPP);
(3) Companies engaged in the manufacturing and service sectors
• Application form duly notarized.
• National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance, indicating that the applicant has not been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
• Clearance from the National Intelligence Coordination Agency (NICA).
• Certification of remittance of required investment to authorized Philippines depository Bank and placed in at least 30 day time deposit.
• Applicant submits application form and other documentary requirements to local Philippine Embassy where they reside.
• Embassy will endorse application to the Board of Investments (BoI) for evaluation.
• BoI will review the documents. The documents are then re-endorsed to the Philippine Embassy coursed through the DFA consular office for issuance of a probationary, multiple entry visa, valid for six (6) months. Upon arrival to the Philippines, probationary visa can be turned into SIRV, once proof of inward remittance has been invested.
Applicant submits application and other documents including the original passport to the Board of Investments BoI.
• If documentation is complete, the BOI then endorses applications to the Bureau of Immigration for a provisional, multiple entry visa valid for six (6) months.
• Amendment of visa (from provisional to indefinite) shall be made upon submission of proof that the inward remittance have been actually invested.
Total Process time is 10-15 days
