“It’s more fun in the Philippines”. This campaign promoting Philippine tourism went viral early this year, spreading through popular social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.  It boasts of the diverse culture and natural resources present in the Philippines

With tourism being one of the main sectors being pushed by the President, it is no wonder that more and more investors get into setting up businesses related to it, including resorts. These kinds of businesses target not only the tourists coming in from abroad but also local residents on vacations.

However, noting the potential effects setting up these businesses may have on the environment, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has required the procurement of an Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) before tourism-related businesses are allowed to operate. There are different types of ECCs.  For tourism businesses such as resorts, the determining factor is the area to be developed. For 0.1 hectares or smaller, the requirement would be a Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC). For areas in between 0.1 and 25 hectares, an Initial Environment Examination (IEE) is required and for land bigger than 25 hectares, an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Triple i Consulting has on board an experienced Environmental Consultant who can assist with acquiring the required documents making sure that the processes involved are accomplished in the most efficient manner.

In addition, we have a Legal Team who can help with the incorporation of the resorts and for foreign investors, an Immigration Consultant who can provide assistance with their Non-Immigrant Visa application.

The Triple i Team makes sure that our clients are able to set their business into motion with the least worries and stress possible and in the quickest time. We take care of the necessary documents and processes for our clients, eliminating the burden of taking on these on their own. Especially for a tourism business, we make it possible for doing business to be leisurely for our clients, just like the service that they will be offering.
